This model provides a basis for recording an agreed termination where the employer relies on economic or organisational circumstances. The reason, initiative, notice period, termination date, payments and other arrangements should be stated accurately.

The agreement is an alternative to an agreed or formal dismissal route; it does not remove the need to assess the employee’s rights and possible unemployment-benefit consequences.
